Money Making Secret #1 &endash; Birthdays Made Me Think of DRIPs
May 7 = Granddaughter Emily May 12 = Son David May 26 = Grandson Michael May 31 = ME (my birthday)
I'm not one to get mushy and sentimental, BUT Birthdays are important. I rarely send greeting cards. So with FOUR birthdays during the month of May I've decided to do something different.
DRIPs = Dividend Reinvestment Plans where one can buy stock without a broker, and you can even buy fractional shares.
So here's my plan. Rather than greeting cards, I plan to buy a share of stock for each of my children and grandchildren's birthdays PLUS another share at either Christmas or Valentine's Day. They will have a Jump Start in Building Their Fortunes.
This idea is from "Eight $teps to $even Figures" by Charles Carlson, CFA... One of the easiest, most sensible books I've read in a long, long time. Check it out at your library, tell me what you think. ==================================================
Money Making Secret #2 - Look Out eBay ... Here I Come!
Well, actually here comes Dorothy to 'show me the way to eBay.'
For years I've said "Not ONE of us is as smart as ALL of us." I've read three books about eBay and I'm still NOT on eBay. So I called Dorothy Tobe (who I featured recently about her eBay experiences).
The call went "HELP! Dorothy, would you consider guiding me through the steps to get on eBay? Would you be my eBay consultant?"
Amazing! One email and one phone call and Dorothy said YES!
So this Thursday evening I will have my first eBay experience. PLUS I will be sharing the details with you in my next issue.

Money Making Secret #3 - Here's What to Do With Books
I never, ever put the book I'm currently reading on a bookshelf. The book follows me from my dining room table, to my living room couch, to my bathtub.
This allows me to capture a chapter or two, or even a couple of pages whenever time allows.
I've also been taking my current book to lunch. This way I'm finding that I'm now reading two or three books a week. Staying current on the subject that is most important to me at this time.
Of course, this works well for a single guy. I'd never take a book to lunch when I have a choice of lunching with a person (guy or gal).
Time IS of the essence. Make your time pay off! =================================================
