Money Making Secret #2 - Sometimes Common Sense Is Just That ... Common Sense!
Joe, I wasn't going to send this to you because I know that most "secrets" are simply obvious actions that someone hasn't thought of yet, and that's why it is so important to have someone else call it to our attention.
Last week I decided to buy some computer hardware and software to ease my load in this new publishing venture. The total came to about eight hundred dollars. I know myself well enough to know I am sometimes an impulse buyer when it comes to "toys." The more I thought about it, the more I realized that some items were "want" instead of "need" but I was psychologically conning myself. So I assumed I had only half the money required. That made me rank the items and it immediately became obvious which were "need" and which were "want." The "wants" were dropped. Talk about saving hundreds with a few seconds!

P.S. I heard about this on the internet, and chose to call Office Depot direct. They verified this is true ... with the caveat 'ONE PER VISIT.'

Something to talk about over coffee: Women in Politics
As progressive as our society has been, the U.S. lags far behind "Old Europe" and some Third World countries when it comes to electing women to high political office.
Consider these facts:
There are 31 women living today who are now or have been President or Prime Minister of their countries. None is American. The U.S. trails almost five dozen other countries in the percentage of women in their national legislative bodies.
This country's percentage of women in Congress is 14%, only slightly higher than the 10% a decade ago. Sweden's parliamentary body is 45% female.
