Money Making Secret #1 How to Close a Job Interview
There must be over 100 books on career changing ...
There is only ONE that teaches prospective job seekers 'how to successfully close the interview.'
Most interviews end with "I'm sorry to have taken up so much of your time. I hope to hear from you." UGH, sorry, NO SALE. And NO job offer either.
This following is taken from pages 70-71 of "How to Get the Job You Really Want and Get Employers to Call You."
Most people feel that an interview is over when either the applicant or the employer has run out of questions.
After you are satisfied that you and your prospective employer have answered all the questions that you have posed to each other, take the following steps.
STOP
SUMMARIZE
CLOSE
Simply STOP the 'ping-pong game' by asking the employer, "Is there anything else that you would want to know about me and my qualifications at our first interview?"
If the employer answers no, then SUMMARIZE by reviewing you background, experience, and qualifications.
For example:
"Mr./Mrs. Employer, I feel that with my background, education, and experience, I would do a good job for your organization. This could help us both reach our goals."
Now, "CLOSE," by asking the following question.
"I'm available immediately, how soon would you want me to start?"
Now be quiet and listen for the answer.
As you might suspect, very few people ask for what they want.
By using the stop-summarize-close technique outlined you will be in the top 1% because you ASKED FOR THE ORDER.
