Money Making Secret #3 - Trading Your Way to Success
I called on a restaurant chain general manager to talk with her about the list of Program Chairs that I maintain. Each of these groups needs meeting rooms and meals for their weekly and monthly meetings.
She responded with "Joe, I don't have the budget or the authority to make a purchase like this." I countered with: "Well, what else can we do to make this a 'win/win' situation."
She asked if I would be willing to TRADE my databases for MEAL TICKETS. I jokingly said: "I eat lunch Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and also Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday."
We got together and traded lists for meal tickets.
