Sunday afternoon at 2pm my computer froze. The next dialog box asked: Do you want to reformat the harddrive? WHAT? No way, would I do that. In half a panic I called my long time friend and computer guru Larry Barnhart and described my problem. Just happened that he was available and was at my place within two hours.

With the proliferation of telemarketers making calls to our homes, the public has demanded that there be a Do Not Call List.
If you live in Colorado, here's the latest from our Attorney General.
Welcome to the Colorado No-Call List
In 2001, the Colorado General Assembly passed legislation that allows consumers to protect themselves from many unwanted telemarketing calls. If you do not want to receive telemarketing calls or faxes, you may add your number to the form at http://www.coloradonocall.com/
This site enables consumers to add or remove their residential telephone or fax numbers to the Official No-Call List. It is as simple as entering your telephone or fax number, zip code and e-mail (optional) into the box on this home page.
This tip alone can save you having to answer unsolicited calls and the frustration of having to deal with bothersome solicitors.
Nearly 40 states now have such a list in operation. If you live outside Colorado you can go to this DMA (Direct Marketing Association) website http://www.the-dma.org/government/donotcalllists.shtml for a list of all the states which now have such a list.

In the movie City Slickers, a grizzled old cowboy named Curly is asked for the secret to success and happiness by a group of friends who are all struggling with career challenges and personal problems. Whenever I consider what it takes to be successful in business, I think of his answer. In the movie, he pauses, holds up one finger and, with a broad grin, says, "One thing. Just ... one thing."
If you really want to rise to the top of your profession, you need not be the most dynamic or talented individual. You need only to commit yourself to one simple concept: The One Thing.
